Dear Governor Blagojevich:

Reject Title V dollars in Illinois!

Illinois possesses public investment in abstinence-only programs. the health of Illinois youth depends on their ability to make informed healthy choices. Abstinence-only programs have been found to be insufficient, inaccurate and ineffective. the abstinence-only experiment has failed.

Teen Awareness Group

The Teen Awareness Group of Planned Parenthood reached over 2,000 students during the Fall season.  They visit classrooms across the county to talk about teen dating violence prevention, healthy relationships, birth control, sexually transmitted infections and teen pregnancy.  Despite the fact that much information is available to teens, there are many misconceptions and inaccuracies that teens have about sexuality. They will listen to their peers.
